Information Technologies

In 1993, she graduated from the Physics Faculty of Belarusian State University. Since 1993, she has been working at the Department of Physics of Polotsk State University.
Since 2005, she has been a leading lecturer at the Department of Physics. Teaches lecture courses on the discipline Physics for students of technical specialties.
The head of the Student scientific club ‘Computer technologies in the physics study’.
O. Petrovich cooperates with schools: holds specialized classes to prepare pupils for the Olympiad in physics; organizes and actively participates in career guidance events for school graduates and their parents aimed at forming and further developing an effective image of the university.

Social esteem

  • In 2013, she was awarded the Diploma of the educational institution ‘Polotsk State University’.
  • In 2015, she was awarded a commemorative badge of the educational institution ‘Polotsk State University’ For the contribution to the patriotic education of young people.

Scientific interests

In 2012, she defended her PhD thesis in ‘Mathematical Modeling, Numerical Analysis and Software Packages’. In 2016, she was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor.
The main area of scientific research is the numerical modeling of electron-ion optical systems and plasma formations, the development of methods for the analysis and synthesis of systems for the formation of charged particle fluxes.
O. Petrovich developed a method for solving problems of electronic and ion optics, which is implemented in the ELIS application software package for modeling electron-optical systems with nonlinear beam formation conditions.
O. Petrovich maintains scientific research cooperation on the problem of numerical modeling of charged particle sources with Research Institute of electronic and ion optics of Scientific production association ‘Orion’ (Moscow), Institute of Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Geophysics (Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Novosibirsk).
