Management and administrative activities

He has been working at Polotsk State University since 1971 and was Head of the Department of Materials Resistance and Structural Mechanics, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, First Vice-Rector.
Along with organizational, scientific and pedagogical activities, he conducted a lot of public work in Novopolotsk and the Republic of Belarus. For a number of years, he was a member of the Novopolotsk City Executive Committee, Chairman of the educational and methodological association of universities of the Republic of Belarus for education in the field of construction and architecture, a member of the Coordinating Scientific and Methodological Council of educational and methodological associations of universities of the Republic of Belarus.
He was awarded a Diploma of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Belarus, Honorary diplomas of the Ministry of Education, Honorary Diploma of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

Teaching activities

Currently teaches the following disciplines:
  • Mechanics
  • Strength of Materials
  • Building Mechanics
  • Numerical Methods for Solving the Problems of Construction
He regularly undergoes advanced training at the Republican Institute of Higher Education. In 2018, he completed advanced training courses under the programme "Informational and educational environment of controlled independent work of students".

Research Interests

His research interests include:
  • The theory of stability of rod structures taking into account geometric and physical nonlinearities
  • Vibrations of rod structures
  • Innovative educational technologies at the university
He annually participates with reports in scientific and methodological conferences.

International experience

Within the framework of international cooperation, he successfully worked on the implementation of the results of the project on TEMPUS programme into the content of master's training carried out with European universities. Under his supervision and on his initiative, a joint project of training civil engineers for the Kingdom of Nepal was carried out.

Publications

He is the co-author of two textbooks with the stamp of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the author of 5 educational and methodological complexes and more than 140 articles.
