Program: “History”
The program provides extended humanitarian training. Students study theory and methodology of history, history of Belarus and world history from antiquity to modern times, archeology, ethnology and anthropology. Much attention is paid to the ability of working with historical sources, including chronicles. Students acquire practical skills in looking for the necessary information and analyzing it; conducting field ethnographic research; participating in archaeological excavations; undertaking research in various areas of historical science; preparation of necessary information for government body decision-making.
Moreover, students receive special pedagogical training: they study pedagogy, psychology, methodology of teaching history, and acquire practical skills during pedagogical training at school (4thyear).
Our graduates have profound professional knowledge and a broad outlook; they are also well versed in socio-political processes and able to work with large amounts of information. These valuable qualities make it possible for our students to work in institutions of various types.
