Background information
The creation of the alternative small universe for word art and stream of fantasy for students and academic stuff at the Faculty of Humanities was not a quick decision.
Actually, it is a wildly spread practice for universities to create and publish their art volumes. Knowing all those twists of fortune, the publication of such kind of almanac remained a dream. However, the things have changed in 2013 when the University active students and academicians gathered together supported by the Department of World Literature and Foreign Languages and the University administration. The mentioned year is a starting point for Literature objective publications. The Faculty of Humanities is the native soil of the almanac, but in two years it has received a university-wide fame. The essential point is that every man bearing the message inside have the opportunity to turn their ideas into letters and to share them. The almanac publications include not only the works of the University literary giants, but also masterpieces of the authors from Minsk, Saint Petersburg, Berlin, Los-Angeles and other countries. All that has broadened our collaboration horizons and made the almanac known all over the world. In 2015 Literature objective received an International Standard Serial Number which was assigned by ISSN International Centre in Paris. We aim at literary art development among students and academic staff of Polotsk State University. Moreover, we provide you with a plunge into literary world and its processes.
One more crucial thing to mention is that the almanac editorial board encourages all young poets and writers. We are ready for discoveries and we work with various genres and styles. The artist has a freedom of expression otherwise it will disrupt the whole process of art creation. The almanac editorial board work with everyone wishing their works be published. Mind the fact that during the texts reviews different questions may arise. Those may refer to technical corrections and the ones that need the author`s conformation. Besides, our highly respected reviewers Alexander Gugnin and Natalya Lysova analyze the texts with accuracy and preciseness also being ready to give a piece of advice and provide the necessary help. Literature objective is published twice a year, but the literary works are always welcomed. In the case, when your work has not been published yet, you may find it in the next edition. We are open for criticism and suggestions. For that purpose, we organize the meetings which can be also treated as art evenings.
