Academic upgrading
Over the years, the department has prepared 5 Masters. 7 lecturers have upgraded their skills in full-time and part-time postgraduate studies. At present, the department is preparing 1 doctoral thesis and 2 PhD theses to be defended.
Seminars, conferences, exhibitions
The faculty of the department has the following awards:
- A 2nd degree diploma (with the award of a silver medal) of the International Congress-exhibition «High Technologies. Innovations. Investment» (on September 22-25, 2008 in St. Petersburg) in the nomination «The best innovative project in the field of advanced engineering technologies» (the authors: S. Zavistovsky, A. Kiriyenko);
- A 1st degree diploma (with the award of a gold medal) of Petersburg fair (on March 10-12, 2010) in the nomination «The best innovative project in the field of advanced metallurgical and engineering technologies» (the authors: S. Zavistovsky, A. Kiriyenko).
The department is the initiator of the Republican scientific and methodical conference «Methodical and pedagogical problems of improving continuous technological training» (2006, 2008).
The main directions of the conference:
- The development and improvement of a methodology of life-long technological education;
- The rational use of the technical base of training workshops;
- The role and place of the technology teachers in the modern education system;
- The psychological and pedagogical problems of undergraduate and postgraduate education of technology teachers;
- The improvement of educational-methodical developments and effectiveness increase ofusing training tools.
Scientists and specialists from different universities take part in the conference. They are the representatives from Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after M. Tank, Belarusian National Technical University, Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P. Shamyakin, Polotsk State University, Baranovichi State University, Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov and many other pedagogical and professional colleges and schools.
