On May 13-15, 2014, Olga Prokopenko, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Head of the Department of Economic Theory of Sumy State University (Sumy, Ukraine), professor of the Higher School of Economics and Humanities (Bielsko-Biala, Poland) read lectures for PSU Finance and Economics Faculty students in specialty “Economics and Business Administration”.

Lectures affected the most pressing issues within the discipline “Marketing of organization (enterprise)”: marketing management, international marketing, marketing services, innovative marketing. Olga Prokopenko devoted her speech to problems of development of marketing and management in the region: aspects of social advertising, industry clustering, directions of improving the image of the region, marketing communication in consulting services, marketing aspects of organizations in connection with the accession to the WTO, etc. Students had great opportunity to get answers to their questions as to academic subject, and on the specifics of the educational process in Ukraine and Poland.

During Professor Prokopenko visit a bilateral agreement on cooperation of Sumy State University (http://www.sumdu.edu.ua) and Polotsk State University was signed. Under the agreement the following issues will be governed: academic exchange between the faculties of Universities, joint management of postgraduates scientific works, development of joint educational programs, exchange of educational and scholarly information.

Important topics of bilateral cooperation were discussed during the meeting: exchange of information about the educational system and reforms carried out in the field of education; exchange of experience in instructional and educational work; exchange of training programs, curricula and teaching materials; creation of joint teaching aids and textbooks; exchange of scientific and methodological information, experience of scientific work and search for various forms of cooperation; assisting in the preparation of students and trainees, skills development; exchange of teachers for lectures and workshops.

Conversation participants agreed to hold annual educational and scientific-methodological seminars and conferences in online communication to strengthen relations and exchange of experience, to discuss further development of cooperation, to conduct master classes from leading experts of Universities.
