Today, any company, enterprise or organization, can become a victim of a cyberattack. And the greater the value and importance of a company, the higher the risks. It means that companies' leadership are ready to spend more money on cyber security specialists.
Cybersecurity is the profession of the future.
The demand for such specialists is especially evident now, due to the growing number of cybercrimes and cases of cyberterrorism.

Cybersecurity specialists ensure the security of IT systems:
- find vulnerabilities in programs, on websites, in mobile applications
- conduct cybersecurity monitoring
- identify threats to systems
- analyze and investigate incidents
- detect hacker attacks or malware
- protect data and prevent threats of cyber attacks
They create and maintain IDS/IPS (intrusion detection systems/intrusion prevention systems) and are focused on understanding the processes of Defense in Depth from software, specifically designed to cause damage, to a computer, a user or an entire computer network, leading to a decrease in computer or system performance.
Skills and competencies
- development of documentation regulating cybersecurity processes based on knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Belarus in the field of information security
- high level of programming skills
- attentiveness and accuracy when working with code, the ability to find hidden and non-obvious sources of infection and form recommendations on their neutralization
- combination of programming skills with knowledge of the physical properties of technical devices
- knowledge of system and network administration skills, security and access policies
- analytical skills, the ability to calculate the consequences of certain changes
- quick assessment of threats and their sources
- work with large amounts of data
- understanding of the principles of conducting cyber attacks, knowledge of possible ways to protect against them
