Biography
In 1998 Yury Golubev graduated from Polotsk State University (Faculty of Radio Engineering). That year he started working as an engineer at the Department of Physics and became a post-graduate student studying Vacuum and plasma electronics. In 2003 he defended his PhD thesis titled «Plasma electron sources with beams of a bigger section for electron-beam technologies» specializing in Electrophysics, electrophysical installations.
Yury Golubev carries out teaching and research activities at the Department of Physics. From 2000 to 2003 he worked as an assistant, from 2003 to 2006 – a senior teacher, since 2006 – an associate professor at the Department of Physics.
Y. Golubev takes part in state budget and economy research programmes aimed at the development and research of new equipment for energy-efficient electron- and ion-beam technologies on the base of plasma emitter sources.
From 2004 to 2006 he worked as a Deputy Executive Director of Admissions, Executive Director of Admissions.
Since September 1, 2007 Y. Golubev has worked as a head of Studies Department.
Yury Golubev pays attention to the development of educational process, implementation of modern education technologies and introduction of innovations into the field of pedagogy and teaching methods. He carries out the activities for using distant-learning technologies, intense and practically oriented study, an appropriate competence approach of modern methods for increasing the efficiency of specialists’ preparation with higher education.
Y. Golubev coordinates and takes part in study and professional development of the academic staff at PSU for additional improvement of their psychological and pedagogic preparation which is necessary for their teaching activity in the higher education system, mastering innovations, interactive, information and other educational technologies.
He was also a coordinator of research conferences «Realization of educational standards of the new generation at higher education establishments» and «Innovative technologies in educational process: experience, methods and results».
