Education
- During the period of 1998-2003 Irina Vegera studied at the Faculty of Law at Polotsk State University
- She got a Diploma with Honours and started to work as Lecturer at the Department of Theory and History of State and Law at Polotsk State University. Later, Irina Vegera took a postgraduate study course «Constitutional law. Municipal law» at Belarusian State University.
- In 2013 she defended her PhD thesis «Legislation as a source of constitutional law: The Republic of Belarus and Roman and Germanic juridical tradition». The thesis was supervised by V. A. Vasilevich, Professor, Doctor of Juridical Science.
- Over 2009-2012 Irina Vegera worked as Associate Professor at the Department of Theory and History of State and Law at Polotsk State University. The courses delivered: «Constitutional law», «International constitutional law», «Human rights».
- During 2010-2012 Irina Vegera was Head of the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities, Economy and Law at Institute of Further Training and Retraining at Polotsk State University. The courses delivered: «Basics of Belarusian state ideology», «Constitutional law», «Labour law».
- All over the period of 2012-2014, Irina Vegera was Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminalistics.
- Since 2014 she has been working as Dean of the Faculty of Law.
- Irina Vegera is the author of more than 80 articles, 5 teaching and methodological modules and materials, also having 2 co-authored textbooks.

It is Irina Vegera`s merit that various research activities devoted to ecological security at the Department of Criminal Law and Criminalistics were conducted. The above-mentioned research activities were also included in the State scientific research program. Irina Vegera is a member of a temporary research group of the State scientific research program «Energy supply and saving legal regulation in the Republic of Belarus and Eurasian Economic Union».
