Postgraduate Study is the first stage of post-university education aimed at training specialists who can plan and carry out research and have deep theoretical knowledge to prepare a qualifying research paper to get a PhD degree.
Obligations of postgraduate students during the course:
  • to pass the PhD exam on a major discipline and PhD exams and credits on minor disciplines
  • to carry out research in accordance with the approved PhD thesis topic
  • to sum up the research materials carried out in the form of a special script of the thesis or its main parts
  • to publish the main scientific results of the thesis before its preliminary examination
  • to have not less than three scientific articles, published in scientific editions from the publishing editions list, and (or) in foreign scientific editions
  • to perform with a scholarly paper at no less than two conferences
  • to show a written report on the results of accomplishing an individual working plan for mid-term assessment
  • undergo the procedure of the final assessment
Students who have successfully finished postgraduate study receive the “researcher” scientific qualification by the Higher Certifying Commission and are awarded with a researcher’s diploma by the institution of postgraduate education.
Students who have successfully defended their theses in the council responsible for thesis defense receive a PhD degree and get a PhD diploma.
