A graduate of the Novopolotsk Polytechnic Institute. She began her teaching career in 1994 at the Novopolotsk Polytechnic College. While working at a technical school, she received a second higher education in absentia at the Republican Institute of Vocational Education, with the qualification of an engineer-teacher. She has been teaching at Polotsk State University since 1998. Over the years, she has taught diverse disciplines related to information technologies.

Currently teaches the following disciplines:

For ten years she has been engaged in career guidance work as chairman of the State Qualifying Commission for diploma projects defence in educational institutions ‘Polotsk Trade and Technology College’ and ‘Polotsk State College of Economics’.

In 2017, she successfully defended her dissertation on specialty ‘Methods and Systems of Information Protection, Information Security’.

Today, within the framework of scientific programmes, she continues to actively work at the scientific school of Polotsk State University in the field of theory and practice of information security on the basis of the interdepartmental research experimental laboratory of technical information protection.

Her research interests are related to automated control and evaluation of information protection measures in conditions of accidental unintended effects on the signal and active masking interference for speech, video and data transmission signals with scientific justification of the criteria for the sufficiency of measures taken to exclude information leakage.

Irina Burachenok is the author of two patents for an invention, 5 laboratory workshops, 5 methodological guidelines, 2 teaching materials (in two parts), has more than 100 scientific publications.
