Policy of the educational institution “Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk” regarding the processing of cookies
CHAPTER 1 GENERAL PROVISIONS
- This Policy regarding the processing of cookies (hereinafter referred to as the Policy) in the state educational institution “Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk” has been developed in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated 07.05.2021 No. 99-3 "On the Protection of Personal Data" for protecting the personal data of users of the website https://www.psu.by/ (hereinafter referred to as the website), who are subjects of personal data.
- The Policy clarifies for users of the website the purposes and methods by which the educational institution “Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk” (hereinafter referred to as the operator or university) processes cookies, as well as how users can control this processing.

9.1. Yandex Metrica – A web analytics service provided by LLC "Yandex." Address: 16 Leo Tolstoy St., Moscow, 119021, Russian Federation. The Russian Federation is included in the list of foreign states where an adequate level of protection of personal data subjects' rights is ensured based on paragraph 1 of the Order of the National Personal Data Protection Center of the Republic of Belarus dated November 15, 2021, No. 14 "On Cross-Border Transfer of Personal Data" (hereinafter referred to as the Center's Order).

Yandex Metrica is used to enhance user interaction with the website and utilizes cookies to collect information about user behavior on the website without identifying them.
9.2. Google Analytics – A web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Address: Google Data Protection Office, 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The USA is not included in the list of foreign states where an adequate level of protection of personal data subjects' rights is ensured based on paragraph 1 of the Center's Order.

CHAPTER 3 OBTAINING USER CONSENT FOR COOKIES PROCESSING. COOKIES SETTINGS
- The university offers users, upon their first visit to the website, the option to consent to the use of cookies or to refuse their use by clicking the "Accept" or "Decline" buttons on the informational pop-up banner.
By clicking the "Accept" button, the user consents to the use of all types of cookie files specified in Section 6 of this Policy. By clicking the "Decline" button, the user refuses the use of analytical cookie files. Since the university can ensure the full and proper functioning of the website, including its security, only through the use of functional (technical) cookie files, this type of cookie is mandatory and cannot be disabled. - The duration of this consent is 1 (one) year. Upon expiration of this period, the university's website will once again request user consent by displaying an informational pop-up banner.
- Website users may change their selection or refuse the use of cookie files before the expiration of the period specified in Section 11 of this Policy by clicking the "Cookie Settings" button located below this Policy on the website.
- The correct operation of the website is only possible with the use of functional (technical) cookies. If this type of cookies is disabled, the university cannot guarantee users a complete and effective operation of all website functionalities; therefore, this type of cookies is non-disableable.
Disabling analytical cookies will prevent measures to improve the website's performance based on user preferences. - In addition to cookie settings on the website, data subjects may accept or decline the collection of all or some cookies in their browser settings.
Some browsers allow users to visit websites in "incognito" mode to limit the amount of information stored on the user's device and automatically delete session cookie files. Furthermore, data subjects can delete previously saved cookie files by selecting the appropriate option in their browser history.

CHAPTER 4 FINAL PROVISIONS
- The university reserves the right, at its discretion, to unilaterally amend and/or supplement the terms of this Policy without prior notice to data subjects by posting a new version of the Policy on its website.
- This Policy is freely available on the global computer network Internet on the official website of the university https://www.psu.by/ and is effective from the date of its approval by the rector of the university (or an authorized representative).
