Teaching activities

He has been working at Polotsk State University since 1984. In 1984, he graduated with honors from Novopolotsk Polytechnic Institute. In 2008, he successfully defended his thesis ‘Institute of Use Problems of Natural Resources and Ecology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus’ for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences. From 2008 to 2010, he worked as the executive secretary of the admission committee of PSU. From 2010 to 2016 – Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. Since 2016 – Vice-rector for Educational Affairs.
Currently teaches the following disciplines:

Scientific interests

  • Technologies for packaging high-hardening petroleum products in polymer materials
  • Water bodies protection of from oil pollution in case of accidents on main oil pipelines

During his work at the department, P. Kovalenko was the responsible executor of more than 50 contractual topics. P. Kovalenko was awarded a diploma of the 2nd degree by the Torun Federal Scientific Association (Republic of Poland) for the development and implementation of a bitumen packaging plant at the Trzebinia oil refinery.

Publications

According to the research results, 58 works have been published, including 2 monographs, 30 articles, 4 industrial and practical publications, 3 abstracts. 16 patents and 3 copyright certificates have been obtained.
