Teaching activities

Natalia Nester is fluent in Ancient Greek and teaches classical languages, particularly Latin. She specializes in ancient literature. In her teaching philosophy, she emphasizes the importance of fostering students' creative initiative rather than stifling it. Her retraining in "Russian as a Foreign Language" has provided her with new insights for her pedagogical and methodological work.
She graduated from Belarusian State University with a degree in Classical Languages and Literature. Since 2000, Natalia Nester has been a lecturer at Polotsk State University. In 2010, she was awarded a rank of an Associate Professor in the field of Literary Studies.

Scientific interests

Her scientific interests include the study of ancient traditions in the early lyrics of American poet Ezra Pound, which she explored in her candidate dissertation. She investigates ancient images and motifs within Belarusian, Russian, and English literature. Furthermore, she focuses on the methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language. She also supervises research projects for students and master's degree candidates.

Author of over 50 publications, including three educational and methodological complexes, two of which are manuals on the Latin language, and one is focused on the foundations of ancient literature and culture.
