Teaching activities
She graduated from Polotsk State University with a degree in English and German. She defended her Master's thesis on "The Genre Specificity of Geoffrey Chaucer's 'The Canterbury Tales'" and received a Master of Philological Sciences diploma.
Alesia Smulkevich completed her postgraduate studies in the "World literature". In 2016, she defended her Candidate of Sciences dissertation (PhD). Her academic advisor was Alexander Gugnin.
Currently teaches the following disciplines:
- Translation Theory
- Fundamentals of Translation
- Interpreting Techniques
- History of Medieval and Renaissance Literature of the Target Language Country
- Current Issues in Modern Literary Studies
Scientific interests
Her area of specialization is English medieval literature, with a research focus on the works of Geoffrey Chaucer in the context of world literature.
