Teaching activities
In 1993, Alexander Spiridonov graduated from Novopolotsk Polytechnic Institute with a qualification in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in " Machines and Apparatus for Chemical Production and Building Material Enterprises". From 1993 to 1999, he was a research fellow in the Research Sector of Novopolotsk Polytechnic Institute. Since 1999, he has been teaching at Polotsk State University.
He has extensive knowledge and mastery of methods of organizing, conducting, and implementing information technologies into production processes in petrochemicals. That helps develop creative thinking, goal-setting skills, and the ability to solve mathematical problems using computing techniques among students.
Currently teaches the following disciplines:
- Computer Science and Computer Graphics
- Computer Science
- Hydraulics, Hydraulic Machines and Hydraulic Drives
- Machines and Apparatus for Chemical Production
- Human Life Safety
Scientific interests
- Methods for analyzing the fractional composition and properties of petroleum products
- Instruments for quality control of petroleum products
- Information technologies in petrochemical processes
- Scanning probe microscopy
He earned his Candidate of Technical Sciences degree in 1998 in the fields of "Chemical Technology Processes and Apparatus" (specialty code 05.17.08) and "Automated Control of Technological Processes" (specialty code 05.13.07). In 2007 he was honored with the academic title of Associate Professor in the specialty "Informatics and Computer Science".
