On January 29, 2021 representatives of the scientific world gathered together at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus to celebrate the Belarusian Science Day. As part of the event, the NAS of Belarus hosted a large exhibition of the most important achievements, scientific and technical results and innovative activity of the Republic of Belarus.
PSU was represented by Vice Rector for Science Yury Golubev, Head of the Scientific Research Department Tatsiana Goncharova, Associate Professor at the Department of Power Engineering and Electronics Victor Yanushkevich, and teaching assistant at the Department of Construction Industry Irina Lazovskaya. PSU presented developments in such fields as exploration geophysics and new construction materials:
Method of geo-electrical exploration of hydrocarbon deposits (academic supervisor – Victor Yanushkevich, PhD in Engineering, Associate Professor at the Department of Power Engineering and Electronics);
Sulfur concrete – new generation of construction material, composed of sulfur bound material (research and development engineer – Irina Lazovskaya, teaching assistant at the Department of Construction Industry);
Sulfur-extended asphalt concrete – new generation of road composite construction material (academic supervisor – Lyudmila Parfyonova, PhD in Engineering, Head of the Department of Construction Industry)
PSU developments sparked interest from exhibition guests and media personnel.
