On February 8-9, 2018 the International scientific conference «Accounting, Audit, Analysis: Science and Studies Retrospective and Perspective», dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Lithuania, took place at Vilnius University. The conference has been carried out by the Department of Accounting and Audit at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.
Polotsk State University and Vilnius University have warm and friendly relations in the sphere of education and research interests in the field of accounting, analysis and audit. It includes Master’s internships, internships for the academic staff of the Department of Accounting and Audit, Logistics and Management, joint scientific events. This year the oldest university in Lithuania has invited the delegation of Polotsk State University: Svetlana Vegera (First Vice-Rector, Doctor of Economics, Professor), Elena Maley (Head of the Department of Accounting and Audit, Logistics and Management, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor), Olga Sushko and Renata Trubovich (assistants at the Department of Accounting and Audit, Logistics and Management).
The international scientific conference gathered the participants from Lithuania, Belarus, Russia, Latvia, Ukraine, Estonia, Czech Republic, Poland, the United Kingdom and Jordan. The representatives of the practical community in the field of accounting and audit, in particular heads of the Lithuania Chamber of Auditors and «Ernst&Young» company also took part in the conference.
The discussion in the conference referred not only to the relevant problems in the sphere of accounting, audit and analysis, but also considered some issues of education quality in this sphere. Polotsk scientific school in the field of accounting and analytical ensuring of the stable development management of economic entities presented the developments in the field of accounting.
Olga Sushko (an assistant at the Department) presented her report «The objects of accounting at technological cycle stages of industrial waste».
Renata Trubovich (an assistant at the Department) delivered her report «Accounting development of natural resources in organizations carrying out the disposal of municipal waste and biogas extraction in the context of the «green» economy».
Both reports have been highly evaluated by the conference participants and have been awarded Diplomas. According to the results, the reports, which have been presented at the conference by PSU participants, can be published in a peer-reviewed journal of the Web of Science system. It is going to be the next step of the authors’ work.
The second day of the conference was dedicated to the conference results and the excursion to the Money Museum of the National Bank of Lithuania. The outcomes of the International conference were summarized in the Workshop. The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration Prof. Aida Macerinskiene was a moderator in the workshop. All the participants discussed further joint activities in the international projects within the framework of the following projects – Erasmus+, Horizon 2020, Visegrad Fund and others. The partners also discussed their further steps in the field cooperation between Polotsk State University and Vilnius University.
