At the end of March, 2013, the Department of Architecture of Polotsk State University celebrated its 10th anniversary. In honor of this great event a series of events was held.
On March 12, 2013, a contest of the best students’ works for the last few years on subject “Introduction to architectural designing” was held. The exhibition was organized by a senior lecturer Natalia Zhelezova.

2nd place – Sergey Sanikovich
3rd place – Yulia Ananyeva
On the same day participants of the contest “The Symbol of aspiration for knowledge” dedicated to 45th anniversary of the University were awarded. According to the Jury opinion Anastasia Scuryat’s project won.
Students of the Department of architecture Maria Kuncevich, Alexander Tihonovich, Andrey Levkovich, Irina Chertkova who participated in the contest received diplomas.
Saturday, March 16, 2013, began with opening an exhibition of the best students’ works in the exhibition hall of PSU scientific library. Staff and students of the Architecture Department, graduates, friends and the University administration gathered in the exhibition hall. Then guests were invited to the assembly hall, where everything was ready for the beginning of a big holiday concert.
The concert was started with a presentation by Head of the Department of Architecture, the candidate of architecture, associate professor Galina Zakharkina, who told the audience about history of the Department.
Rector EI “PSU”, Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor Dmitry Lazovsky made a warming speech.
Students of the Architecture Department produced funny videos about their student life. Natalia Mitskevich, Boris Konovalchuk, Olga Konopleva, Artem Gorbachev, Stepan Bizyuk, Victoria Dubovets and her fashion theater performed in the concert. Olga Sapezhinskaya, Karina Imennaya, Anastasia Golubkova, Maria Morozova and Stanislav Haus were good at rhythmic dancing. The KVN team “Nemnogo lishnego” congratulated the Department staff.
The concert ended with blowing out candles on a Birthday cake. Happy Birthday, Department of Architecture!
