On International Committee of aesthetics and cosmetology (SIDESKO)’s initiative September 9 was announced the World Day of Beauty. For the first time this holiday was celebrated in 1995. This holiday is considered a professional one for all who create beauty around us. Students from hostel №1 succeeded in this case. For already many years they have been decorating with their own hands the world around them and their second home.
Together with the educator Irina Babich students learn new techniques of beauty creating. There are decoupage, kanzashi, woodcarving, glass painting, embroidery, dough modeling, bottles decorating with cloth, salt and other materials. Work continues throughout the year, not just in the Day of beauty.
The Head of aesthetic development club “Oriflamma” Olga Pavlova is convinced that joint work will facilitate the adaptation of first-year students to student life – they are actively involved in the work.
Toys made by students’ hands will be donated to children from Novopolotsk social shelter.
