As part of the agreement of 13 September 2018 on cooperation in the field of science and technology between the governments of Belarus and Uzbekistan, the Uzbekistan delegation visited Polotsk State University and met with the university administration.
The State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus together with the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan hold contests of Belarus-Uzbekistan scientific and technical projects. Experts from Uzbekistan came to Belarus to discuss cooperation perspectives and the possibility of participation in the 2020 contest.
The contest hasn’t been announced yet. PSU held a seminar “Organization and Introduction of Innovative Projects within the Belarus-Uzbekistan Systems of Higher Education. Cooperative Research Grants of 2020” to distinguish the spheres where the scientists of the two countries could develop cooperation.
The Uzbekistan colleagues presented their research areas and suggestions to Belarus-Uzbekistan projects contest. Among them were:
Noibakhon Mamadaliyeva, Chief Research Secretary of the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Philology, Professor;
Fotimakhon Nazarova, Chairperson of the Scientific and Technical Economics and Law Council, Professor at Tashkent Institute of Finance, Doctor of Economics, Professor;
Shakhzoda Abdullayeva, Deputy Chairperson of SCT “Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy”; Professor at the Department of Pedagogics and General Psychology of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor;
Shakhnoza Ergasheva, Chief Specialist of the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, PhD in Philology, Associate professor;
Faridakhon Khamidova, Research Secretary of the Scientific and Technical Council for Economics and Law, PhD in Economics; Associate Professor at Tashkent Institute of Finance.
PSU experts also made their proposals in different fields such as:
- Informatization, Information and Communication Projects Development;
- Construction;
- Chemical Engineering;
- Technical Sciences (Geodesy, Energy Industry, Industrial Electronics, Electrophysics);
- History;
- Jurisprudence;
- Economics (Business, Entrepreneurship, Digital Economics, Finance, Accounting, Audit);
- Pedagogy.
During the seminar, the issues concerning the grant programmes, its priority and selection procedure were discussed. The participants had the opportunity to share their opinions.
The Cooperation Agreement between Polotsk State University and the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek was signed as a result of the meeting.
We are sure that all the proposals in the field of science and technology discussed will be implemented.
