On April 1-30, the team of the Faculty of Finance and Economics #PROFITHUNTERS, consisting of Maksim Golyakovich (a 3rd-year student), Yelizaveta Vertinskaya (a 4th -year student), Victoria Rudak (a 3rd-year student), Vladislava Grezdova (a 3rd-year student), took part in a Business Case Student Competition 2019. The competition was organized by KPMG in Belarus together with the Faculty of Economics at BSU.

PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Elena Maley, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Sergey Boslovyak, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Lyudmila Masko, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Yekaterina Afanasyeva and assistant Olga Mikhalevich supervised the team.

Case Competition is a contest on current business issues solving that gives an opportunity to deepen the understanding of actual business processes,  put into practice the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired at the university and beyond it, learn something new, work in a team, understand how to structure your ideas and send your message to top-managers.

The tasks went beyond the study programmes but, nevertheless, included basic knowledge on "Econometrics", "Macroeconomics", "Statistics", "Financial Optimization", "Corporate Finance", "Macroeconomic Analysis", "Audit and Accounting", "Investment Analysis".

There were 2 stages.

The 1st stage was held on April 8 - 21. The team had two weeks to cope with the task: think of a solution and prepare a presentation. According to the results, 12 teams passed to the next stage, the same as PSU team that was in the 5th place.

The 2nd stage, which was the final one, was held on April 30. Our team presented their case successfully at Belarusian State University!

#𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐅𝐈𝐓𝐇𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒 of Polotsk State University took the 2nd place! Of course, the team members were given souvenirs: Croxley Jack backpacks. In addition, Vladislava Grezdova became the Best Auditor.

According to the results of the case competition, the winners were offered to take an internship at KPMG with further employment.
