On October 13, 2020, China-Belarus Youth Contest of R&D Projects was held at the Science and Technology Park of Belarusian National Technical University “Polytechnic” supported by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus. The event was organized by the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, BNTU, Confucius Institute for Science and Technology at BNTU together with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus.
The China-Belarus Youth Contest of R&D Projects has received about 200 applications from all Belarusian universities and Chinese undergraduate and postgraduate students who study in Belarus and at Northeastern University of China.
At the opening of the competition Chairman of the Belarusian State Committee on Science and Technology Alexander Shumilin pointed out: “Belarus pays a lot of attention to the development of innovative youth entrepreneurship and has great hopes on young, energetic and creative people who are eager for discoveries and constant search for something new”.
Yulia Bulavka, PhD in Engineering, Associate Professor of the Department of Technology and Equipment of Oil and Gas Processing, took part in the contest and presented her project in Materials and Chemical Products Section.
The expert jury highly appreciated the relevance, novelty and practical application of the project, which allowed Yulia Bulavka to take a Third Place Award Certificate.
