On April 29, 2017 the delegation from Belarusian National Technical University visited Polotsk State University. The Cooperation Agreement between universities has become the main result of the meeting. It provides the creation of Chinese language and culture learning centre at PSU.
Due to rapid growth of financial and economic, scientific and cultural influence of People’s Republic of China in a modern world the far-eastern direction of the international cooperation of PSU has a priority meaning.
BNTU is a university that has successfully cooperated with our university for a long time, has many achievements in the field of mutually beneficial partnership with Chinese colleagues. In 2014 together with Northeastern University (Shenyang, China) the Confucius Institute of Science and Technology of BNTU was opened.
Minsk and Chinese guests told about the activity of Confucius Institute of Science and Technology of BNTU, also discussed creation and prospects for development of Chinese language and culture learning centre of Polotsk State University with first pro-rector of PSU Svetlana Vegera and head of the International Office Siarhei Piashkun.
The main outcome of the Agreement will be the creation of joint Chinese language and culture learning centre at Polotsk State University that will be aimed at the popularization of the Chinese language and culture in our country, enhancing friendship and mutual understanding between the Republic of Belarus and People’s Republic of China.
