Polotsk State University has a good tradition of joint Christmas celebration among students and academic staff of the Faculty of History and Philology. David Simmons and Almut M?ller, the workers of the Department of World Literature and Foreign Languages, visited the Christmas evening which was organized in a cozy atmosphere at the concert hall of Polotsk State University.
During the fascinating interactive game students of the Faculty of History and Philology had an opportunity to check their knowledge about German, American and Belarusian Christmas traditions. Apart from that, guests could take part in a home baking competition.
The game «White Elephant Gift Exchange», which is well-known in Germany and the USA, was a true surprise for students.
As always, all the guests sang Christmas songs in German, English and Belarusian. The students also watched a short film «Dinner for one», that is the most popular New Year movie in Germany, had a wonderful conversation with each other in a good company with a cup of tea.
