Sergey Tanashchuk shared his impressions about the participation in the competition and told about creative plans.

The correspondent: Can you tell us about the emotions after the participation in the competition?

S. Tanashchuk: My emotions? Of course, I’m glad to participate in such a representative competition, and I’m very happy that I’ve ranked so high. Such a result can be called a victory. It was a pleasant shock. I’m very glad that my work got such a high mark. On the one hand it’s very important for my artist career, and on the other one, I’m moving in the necessary direction.

I’m very grateful to my teacher Andrey Piskun. He persuaded me to participate in this competition, inspired confidence, helped and supported me. Also I would like to thank our university, its administration!

The correspondent: We know that the work, you’ve presented in Astana, has a special meaning for you.

S. Tanashchuk: Yes, it’s true. In my work I’ve portrayed my grandmother – Zinaida Tusnolobova-Marchenko. You know that she was a Soviet army doctor, a participant of the Great Patriotic war, the Hero of the Soviet Union, one of three nurses who were awarded to Florence Nightingale medal by the International Committee of the Red Cross.

I’m very glad to realize that I could express the feeling of sincere gratitude to my grandmother and the whole generation of heroes who gave us the Great Victory and peaceful sky above the head!

The correspondent: Do you participate in such competitions for a long time?

S. Tanashchuk: No, I don’t. I got such an opportunity only after I entered PSU, the speciality “Design”. Meeting with interesting and purposeful people in the “Image” studio gave me a powerful impetus for my creative development.

The correspondent: Can you share your future plans?

S. Tanashchuk: My future plans. As I said, all my achievements can be a sign that I’m moving in the right direction. I’m going to develop myself as a creative individual, as an artist. I will try to participate in new competitions and make more works, maybe, open my own exhibitions. Painting for me is like air. I’m very happy that the creative atmosphere at our university inspires me to create such works.

The correspondent: Thank you very much, Sergey. Congratulate you with your win. Wish you success and creative inspiration!
