On June 25, a creative meeting titled "Round Table of Talents" took place at the Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk, organized as part of the Republican Youth and Student Marathon.
The event was attended by foreign students who had distinguished themselves in creative and social activities throughout the academic year. Welcoming the students, Alesia Korsak, Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Affairs, highlighted the importance of creative self-realization for students. She thanked them for their energy and initiative, and emphasized that such gatherings strengthen friendship and mutual understanding among representatives of different countries.
The occasion for the meeting was to sum up the outgoing academic year – a time filled with events, victories, and new discoveries. The students recalled how it all began: their first steps in adapting, getting acquainted with the country's culture, and later, participating in large-scale projects. They shared their impressions of performing at regional, national, and international competitions and festivals, where they represented their faculties and the university with distinction.
A significant portion of the gathering was dedicated to watching video footage of the creative works students had prepared for various festivals and competitions. The camera captured vocal performances, choreographic productions, and original art projects – everything the students had created throughout the year. There were also warm reminiscences about preparing and hosting festive concerts, creative events, and engaging projects together. The students recalled how ideas were born, how rehearsals went on late into the evening, and how they supported one another.
A particularly touching note was added to the gathering by the graduates –foreign students who are receiving their university diplomas this year. For them, this was one of the last informal evenings within the walls of their alma mater. The students shared that over the years of their studies, Polotsk University had become a second home for them, and Belarus a truly dear country. And although new paths lie ahead, they will surely carry a piece of the university and a piece of Belarus in their hearts – its hospitality, friendliness, and the unique atmosphere that has surrounded them all this time.
The highlight of the gathering was the awards ceremony. Alesia Korsak, Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Affairs, presented the foreign students with diplomas and certificates of appreciation for their active participation in student life. Addressing each recipient with warm words, she thanked them for their enthusiasm and creative zeal.
Each award recipient received heartfelt wishes for success and new achievements. The gathering concluded with a traditional commemorative photo on the steps of their beloved university. Smiles, friendly embraces, and a shared spirit of unity made for the perfect snapshot, destined to remain a cherished page in the album of their student years.
Summer vacation lies ahead, but the students are already making plans for the next academic year, filled with creative ideas and new victories.
