On May 22-23, 2012, the Final of the Republican contest of art groups and individual performers of institutions of high education “АРТ-вакацыi” was held. Creative team of Polotsk State University took an active part in this contest. On the stage of Assembly Hall of Minsk State Linguistic University the chairman of the jury, People’s Artist of Belarus, composer, artistic director of the folk ensemble “Biaseda”of National State TV and Radio Company of Belarus Leonid Zakhlevny handed diplomas to the winners of the festival.
During the competition students of our University showed their creative talents providing an excellent competitive program. PSU creative group was awarded diplomas in 10 different categories. And what is important to note, the competition was quite serious – 41 institution of high education from all over the Republic participated in the festival and 41 competition program was presented to the Jury.
Nikolai Kamenkov (the Geodesy Faculty) is a singer of singing studio “Nastroenie”, won the 2nd degree diploma in category “Vocalist in the national trend”.
Dancing studios “ToryDance” (the Head is Victoria Eremenok) and “Zhemchuzhina” (the Head is Margarita Yankovskaya, choreographer is Victoria Danyluk) won the 3rd degree diplomas in category “Contemporary Dance Ensemble”.
In the nomination “Pop Vocal Ensemble” solo singing studio “Nastroenie” (the Head of the Studio’s Elena Tyryshkina) was awarded the third degree diploma.
The folklore group “Vargan” (the Leader is Olga Yemialyanchyk) won the 3rd degree diploma in category “People’s choir”.
In the special category “Youth Initiative” organizers awarded the fashion theater “Zhyvaya papera”. The Leader is the Civil Engineering Faculty student Victoria Dubovets. Girls won a diploma of the third degree.
Levon Kehvoyan (a student of the Information Technologies Faculty, a singer of singing studio “Nastroenie”) won a diploma “For the popularization of the Belarusian national traditions”.
Elena Tyryshkina as a Director of Student’s Club was deservedly awarded the diploma “For the creative embodiment of the contest theme” for the tremendous work in preparing the creative teams for the festival.
As a result of Festival, our University was awarded a diploma for active participation in the national festival of students’ art “АРТ-вакацыі”.
However, performance on the stage is not the only component of the Youth Festival. As part of the Festival students’ modern digital art contest “Art Portal” took place. PSU photo club “Vzgliad” (the Leader Dmitry Oskin) won the 3rd degree diploma in the nomination “Photo work”.
