On April 15, 2014, an exhibition of photographs of world famous gardens and parks “Floral Extravaganza” timed to the International Day of Culture opened in a Hostel # 1 of Polotsk State University. Organizers were Hostel students active, aesthetic development club “Oriflamma” and friends of culture club “Istoki”.
Students presented gifts (toys and clothes) for children from Novopolotsk social shelter.
Since April 16, 2014, master classes in painting Easter eggs and Easter exhibition preparation were held. Civil Engineering Faculty students Natalya Khlud (gr. “11-АД”), Anastasia Gremnitskih (gr. “11-АД”), Natalya Sakovitch (gr. “11-АРХ”), Valeria Vasilevskaya (gr. “12-АРХ”), Irina Palchastaya (gr. “12-АРХ”) and Alexandra Terentyeva (gr. “12-АРХ”), led by tutor Irina Babich participated in studying of new techniques of decorating eggs “kviling”, decoupage, watercolor, etc.
Students took part in cleaning up in Novopolotsk socio-pedagogical center. Sergey Portnyago (gr. “10-ТМ”), Arthur Abramyan (gr. “09-ТВ”), Serdar Cherkezov (gr. “13-ТНГ”) scavenged, transferred furniture and made flowerbeds in the area of center.
