On April 9, 2013, in Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (Minsk) the finalists at national stage of International Students’ Olympiad in the sphere of information technologies “IT-Planet” were determined. Information Technologies Faculty of Polotsk State University student Oleg Liakhovich took the 3rd place in “Oracle Programming Olympiad: SQL” nomination.
National final organizers determined three leaders in five categories: “Oracle Programming Olympiad: Java”, “Oracle Programming Olympiad: SQL”; “1C Programming: Enterprise 8”, “Protocols, services and equipment” and “Linux Administering”. Quests for finalists were prepared by world’s leading IT-companies specialists (Oracle, D-Link, 1C, etc.). It should be noted only in Belarusian qualifying rounds there participated 335 students from 18 educational institutions. 55 participants from 12 educational establishments reached the final. In general competition brought together more than 11,000 participants from CIS countries.
