The Department of Business Accounting and Audit, Logistics and Management at Polotsk State University within the framework of the international cooperation continues to develop the interaction with the Department of Audit and Internal Control at Saint Petersburg State University of Economics.
The head of the Department, the honoured worker of the higher school of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Science in Economics, professor Natalia Kamordzhanova is the author of the Concept of interaction network between partners for the preparation of specialists in Economics of the new generation at higher school. Natalia Kamordzhanova is the initiator of the video conferences, webinars. Undergraduate, master students and lecturers at Polotsk State University also take part in such events.
Last academic year within the framework of the mentioned Concept students and lecturers at PSU took part in the following events:
- Ist All-Russian Scientific Video Conference for Master and PhD students – April 26, 2016;
- Online-conference dedicated to the Accounting Day – November 28, 2016;
- IInd All-Russian research conference for Master and PhD students «Young scientists researches for solving relevant problems in Accounting» – April 27, 2017.
On October 6, 2017 the practically oriented seminar «Success logic: from education to career. The Accounting Profession. Peculiarities of business accounting in the embassy of Luxembourg» was held.
The accountant in the embassy of Luxembourg in Moscow Svetlana Vinogradova shared her working experience and told our students about her career. Apart from Polotsk State University the video conference was held with Orenburg State University and Astrakhan State Technical University.
Svetlana Vinogradova also underlined the peculiarities of business accounting in the embassy of Luxembourg in Moscow. The following issues were also considered:
- Kinds of financial statements and the frequency of their assignment;
- Revenues resources of the embassy and their accounting;
- VAT refund.
The specialist also paid attention to her professional career and underlined the key points of her success:
- Foreign language;
- Active way of life;
- No fear in front of difficulties;
- High level efficiency.
Such a life story raised interest among students and made them think about their own prospects, a personal strategy for their professional career. The lecturers at the Department of Accounting and Audit, Logistics and Management have made a conclusion that our university has a right direction for its development: English language learning and academic mobility broadening will help to have many professional achievements!
On November 16, 2017 the video-lecture «Audit at the enterprises of Telecommunication sphere» was held with Alexander Grebenyuk, a partner of EY company. The 3rd and 4th-year students studying Business accounting, audit and analysis, master students and lecturers of the Department took part in it.
At the beginning of the lecture Alexander Grebenyuk told about the role of digitization as one of the distinguishing megatrends of our generation, underlined the key trends and common perspective in the following years in the field of information technologies and telecommunications.
Alexander Grebenyuk has demonstrated the statistics of the global Internet-market and presented the Internet penetration into different social and economic spheres for the past 20 years. The specialist also presented major business models of the Internet market: web search engines, social networks, Internet services, mobile videogames.
The key questions in the analysis of business models data during the video lecture were the following: problems of monetization and prime costs services. Also the participants of the webinar considered the key issues of accounting and audit.
During the video-lecture A. Grebenyuk gave more detailed answers to the questions from the listeners.
Such an interaction network between partners for the preparation of specialists in Economics of the new generation at higher school has a great influence on the development of future specialists. It will help them to get complex knowledge, broaden their horizons and be informed about the main global development tendencies of their profession.
The practice of online communication with representatives of the professional community will be definitely developed. On November 30, 2017 our students can attend one more theoretical webinar «Business accounting in modern information environment» with M. Pyatov – Doctor of Science on Economics, professor, professor at the Department of Statistics, Accounting and Audit at Saint Petersburg State University.
