On November, 11-12 the teacher of the Department of Finance and Trade Economics of Polotsk State University took part in the International scientific and practical conference «The role of intellectual capital in economic, social and legal culture of society of the 21st century» organized by The Committee on Science and High School on the basis of Saint-Petersburg Academic University of Management and Economics.
On November, 11-12 the teacher of the Department of Finance and Trade Economics of Polotsk State University took part in the International scientific and practical conference «The role of intellectual capital in economic, social and legal culture of society of the 21st century» organized by The Committee on Science and High School on the basis of Saint-Petersburg Academic University of Management and Economics.
Russian and foreign scientists and specialists in the field of economics, sociology and law, representatives of authorities, professional and teaching staff of educational organizations of higher education, including the delegation of Polotsk State University, and also students, postgraduates of higher education establishments and scientific organizations took part in the conference.
The conference was opened by the plenary session devoted to the discussion of questions about the role of education in the formation of intellectual capital of the country. Valentina Bogatyrova, doctor of economic sciences, head of the Department of Finance and Trade Economics, presented Polotsk State University at the plenary session with the report «Human capital as a factor of innovative development and element of country’s wealth».
The delegation of Polotsk State University also presented the book «Heritage of Belarus» which contained scientific and research materials about Belarusian scientists to the administration of Saint-Petersburg Academic University of Management and Economics. Apart from that our representatives told about the main events of Polotsk State University: lunch-concerts, annual academic musical evenings, «Intermezzo», annual ceremony of the special prize «Origin of Knowledge», Christmas ball, etc.
After the plenary session the solemn exchange of Cooperation Agreement in the sphere of education and science, development of new complex directions of scientific research between Saint-Petersburg Academic University of Management and Economics and Polotsk State University was carried out.
Workshops, master-classes devoted to discussion of «Innovative activity of universities: problems of integration of economic and technical education» were also organized.
On November 12, the first open lecture between Saint-Petersburg Academic University of Management and Economics and Polotsk State University was held for students of economic specializations of Institute of Economics, Management and Information technologies.
Also during the visit the following perspectives of cooperation with Russian colleagues for 2015-2016 year were planned:
- December 2015 – on-line competition between students of Saint-Petersburg Academic University of Management and Economics and Polotsk State University;
- December 2015 – Two-way on-line lections for students with the participation of teaching staff of the department of Finance and Trade Economics of Polotsk State University and Institute of Economics, Management and Information technologies of Saint-Petersburg Academic University of Management and Economics;
- December 2015 – Meeting of the delegation of Institute of Economics, Management and Information technologies of Saint-Petersburg Academic University of Management and Economics with teaching staff of the faculty of Finance and Economics and faculty of Information Technologies of Polotsk State University;
- April 2016 – Participation of students, postgraduates and teaching staff of Saint-Petersburg Academic University of Management and Economics in the 8th Annual Junior Researches Conference «European and National Dimension in Research» at Polotsk State University;
- 2016 – Publishing of scientists’ joint monograph of two universities.
The Department of Finance and Trade Economics
