On October 29-30, 2013, in Polotsk State University there was held the II International Scientific and Technical Conference “Innovative Technologies in Mechanical Engineering” (InnTehMash-13), dedicated to memory of Professor Viktor Kyrpychov and the 45th anniversary of PSU. Organizer was the Department of Technology and Equipment of Machine-building Industry.
The aims of the conference were: exchange of scientific and technical information in the promising areas of engineering, training of specialists for engineering and innovative support of high technology development, establishing business contacts between the scientific, educational and industrial organizations and enterprises of the Republic of Belarus and foreign countries.
The conference was attended by about sixty scientists, educators, industry representatives and the executive branch, including academicians and corresponding members, doctors and professors from Belarus, Russia and Ukraine, as well as the Faculty of Machine Building students took an active part in the conference. More than 60 reports were presented and discussed during the conference.
Working during the conference was conducted in two forms – a plenary session and a round table – in the following areas:
- technology and equipment for production engineering: design, manufacture and operation;
- transfer of technology: structures, programs and funds;
- provision of training: the need, the standards and quality.
At the conference, an exhibition of scientific, technological and educational development of the University was presented. A tour to the city of Polotsk and Polotsk Collegium, where were the academic buildings PSU, was organized. The result of the conference was a lively exchange of views of experts in the fields of science, education and industry, and new arrangements on cooperation.
