On November 19-27, the Faculty of Information Technologies held a public competition “IT-skills” dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Faculty of Information Technologies. To participate in the competition, the organizers invited not only the students of the Faculty of Information Technologies specializing in “Software Support of Information Technologies”, “Computer Security”, “Computer, systems, and networks”, but also schoolchildren specializing in physics and math at Novopolotsk lyceum. They were divided into several groups, according to their level of education. There were 378 participants in total.
Our staff provided the students with the individual tasks, which included 3 parts with 5 questions in each. Leading specialists from IT-company «Andersen» together with the lecturers at the Department of Software Engineering created the list of questions for the competition. The participants were tested using the testing program “Iren”.
Our students were happy to have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge. Besides, the schoolchildren could communicate with IT-specialists and receive answers to their questions. On November 30, 2018, the winners were awarded certificates and presents at a solemn ceremony dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Faculty of Information Technologies.
