On March 13, 2012, a judicial sitting of Vitebsk regionEconomic Court took place at Polotsk State University. The judge Eric Baghdasarov heard the case to establish the fact of real estate belonging. The dispute between two really existing Novopolotsk organizations was at the heart of the trial.
The Economic Court of Vitebsk region practices similar assize judicial sittings on the basis of the law faculties of universities. And students of our University also were able to observe a real trial. Activities like it promote the integration of the educational process and practice.
After hearing the opinions and arguments of the both sides and the interested party – a representative of Novopolotsk City Executive Committee – the Judge – resolved the dispute.
According to the words of the Law Faculty Dean Alexei Egorov such meetings will be held regularly at PSU. The next public Judicial sitting of Vitebsk region Economic Court will be held at our University on March 20.
