On June 2-6, 2014, at the Finance Department of Polotsk State University were held open lectures of Professor Jacek Barburski (Cracow University of Economics, Poland). In the course of working with the 3rd and 2nd academic years students professor paid attention to the most important issues of economy and finance, led students the advanced, including copyrights, methods of economic analysis, which would certainly be very useful in preparing students for classes on a variety of financial disciplines.
In particular, Professor Barburski discussed with the students methods of capitalization and discounting, conducted a comparative analysis of the traditional indicators and methods for assessing the economic efficiency of business entities. The Professor considered separately accounting policies in Poland, which allowed students to compare Belarusian and Polish approaches.
Questions concerning the construction of the learning process in Poland and student everyday life of our neighbors also didn’t go unnoticed.
