On March 28, 2013, a meeting of Belarusian and Turkmen students took place in Hostel № 2 of Polotsk State University. It was held under the motto “Long live the student fraternity!”

The aim of event was to find out that Belarusian students knew about Turkmenistan, and vice versa, how well Turkmens explored the country where they studied. At first participants took part in a quiz that helped to learn about interesting traditions and national holidays in both countries.

There was interesting recitation contest when Belarusian students read poems in Turkmen, and Turkmens – in Belarusian language. Song contest didn’t leave anyone indifferent. Turkmen students performed Belarusian folk song “Касіў Ясь канюшыну”. Belarusians were not afraid of language difficulties and performed a song in the language of their guests.
