On February 8, the students of the Law faculty and the speciality «Physical Training» of the faculty of Physical Training Education started their new semester at the new educational complex of Polotsk State University in Mezhdurechye.
The first pro-rector Svetlana G. Vegera and the pro-rector of maintenance Vladimir N. Strizhak cut the red ribbon which symbolized the start of the solemn events.
Dmitry N. Lazovsky in his welcoming speech pointed out the importance of this event for PSU and expressed his confidence that students and teaching staff of our university will achieve more success!
Dmitry Lazovsky also presented several Diplomas to people who were involved in the reconstruction and preparation of the new educational complex.
The dean of Law faculty Irina V. Vegera and the head of the Department of Physical Training and Sport Elena N. Borun congratulated all the guests with such a great day and thanked the university administration for this generous gift, and also students and teaching staff, who took part in the reconstruction, for their professionalism and hard work.
The solemn opening ceremony of the beginning of the new semester in the new educational complex was ended up the song «Students are happy people».
The celebration in Mezhdurechye was continued by the supervisors who organized the excursions around the building.
The new educational stage of PSU includes four complexes – A, B, C, D. The students and teachers can use more than twenty lecture rooms, modern computer classes, a branch of Library Science of the university, a conference hall, educational class of juridical information.
The law faculty also has a modern Judgment hall, a room of criminalistics, places for arbitration court and student service of juridical help which will be the base of Juridical Centre.
In Mezhdurechye there are also excellent conditions for the students of speciality «Physical Training»: a room of anatomy and physiology, a spacious room for mini-football, volleyball, tennis, a workout room.
After the opening of WELLNESS-centre «Mezhdurechye» this is a perfect sport base not only for students and teaching staff of PSU, but also for citizens of Polotsk and Novopolotsk. Modern equipment and highly skilled staff will help you to be beautiful, energetic and healthy.
The walls are decorated with reproductions of famous canvases which represent Justice, its symbols, attributes and faces in the world fine art. The students also can use comfortable leisure areas, trattoria «La Gusto» and caf?.
