Last week Novopolotsk celebrated its 54th Birthday. 54 years old is a short term for a city – Novopolotsk is a blooming, bright and young... Polotsk State University – the area of youth and creativity – could not stay away from the celebration of such a wonderful date.
On June 7, 2012, in Palace of Culture the show of beauty and grace “Miss Novopolotsk-2012” was held. Our beautiful students took part in the show:
- “Miss Friendship” – Maria Boulakhova, Faculty of Civil Engineering;
- “Miss Sport” – Ekaterina Okorkova, Faculty of Law;
- “The second vice-miss Novopolotsk-2012” – Ekaterina Lyakh, Faculty of Law.
On June 9, 2012, university administration, deans, professors and students of PSU took an active part in the parade “Youth is for the city, the city is for youth”.
Studio of modern dance «TORYDANCE» from PSU was invited as the absolute last year winner to the IV open-city competition of alternative art in the area of dance “Tochka otscheta”.
In the evening on the main Novopolotsk stage the concert featuring the best creative collectives and popular Russian pop stars “Novopolotsk is 54 years old!” was held. PSU dance studio “Zhemchuzhina” and students of our university Maxim Evsyukov and Oleg Zaitsev took part in the concert.
