On October, 29, 2015, Polotsk State University became one of the stages of Novopolotsk Economic Forum – 2015 organized by Novopolotsk administration and Polotsk department of «Vitebsk branch of Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry».
This event became the most meaningful business-event of this year which was aimed at the mobilization of investment in Novopolotsk economy and strengthening business connections with partners from different countries. More than 30 industrial enterprises of Novopolotsk and also business representatives and heads of economic services of foreign countries (Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Serbia and China) took part in the Forum.
Polotsk State University is a large centre for innovative, scientific and research activity and commercialization of technology, that’s why the Social and information centre of PSU became one of the Forum places. Deputy chairman of Novopolotsk administration of investment, economics and commerce Dmitry Samuskov made a presentation about the investment and economic potential of the city.
For all the guests of the Forum the exhibition of scientific and technical achievements of the university was organized.
The audience was very interested in the presentations of Pro-rector of Science, Dmitry Glukhov, and Head of the Scientific and Research Centre, Tatsiana Goncharova who told about the activity of scientific schools of the university and made the presentation of projects, scientific and technical developments offered the investors for implementation.
We hope that the results of Novopolotsk Economic Forum will attract investments into PSU, strengthen and broaden contacts with foreign partners.
