Doctor of Philological sciences, professor of Slavic Philology Department Alla Sheshken (Lomonosov Moscow State University) was invited to Polotsk State University at Humanities Faculty within the State programme «Education and youth policy for 2016-2020» together with doctor of Philological sciences, professor Alexander Gugnin, World Literature and Foreign Languages Department of PSU.
On April 10, 2017 the professor held open lectures for students of the study programme «Romance and Germanic Philology» and PhD students of the programme «World Literature».
The introductory lecture «Slavs in historical, cultural and literary space of Europe» was a good example of using interdisciplinary relations in Humanities.
Apart from that during the visit the cooperation perspectives with the Centre of Belarusian Language and culture of Lomonosov MSU were outlined. Also both sides discussed a possibility to publish articles represented by academic staff of World Literature and Foreign Languages Department in a research journal of Philology Faculty of MSU.
