On June 16-22, 2018 the lecturers from the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (Poland) – Renata Marks-Bielska and Stanislav Bielski – held a lecture for students, Master’s students and postgraduates at the Faculty of Finance and Economics of Polotsk State University. The event was carried out within the framework of the Erasmus+ project on academic mobility programme.
The interactive classes and workshops defined the current problems and tendencies for the development of land market and agriculture in Poland, also modern possibilities and prospects for the effective use of bio-fuel for the needs of EU countries.
During the training the lecturers had an opportunity to discuss the suggested topic with each other.
On June 19 the meeting with the dean and heads of the Departments at the Faculty of Finance and Economics was carried out. Halina Orszulak, Vice-Dean at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Warmia and Mazury presented her faculty, its structure and opportunities, offered ways for further cooperation with Polotsk State University. Within the meeting the lecturers also discussed current state of the educational services market, relevant directions of research in the field of economics and prospects for their joint implementation.
One more important and inevitable part of the mobility was the acquaintance with Belarusian culture. Our guests visited the university campus in Polotsk, the Art Gallery, the Museum of History and Culture in Novopolotsk and other place reflecting cultural and historical heritage of Polotsk and Novopolotsk.
The visit to Polotsk State University within the framework of the academic mobility programme Erasmus+ was interesting and fruitful. It left many wonderful impressions and laid the ground for the further successful cooperation with the University of Warmia and Mazury (Poland).
