On May 22-23, 2014, at the Department of Logistics and Management of Polotsk State University there were held open lectures of Vladimir Stepanov, Honored Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation, the chief editor of “RISK: resources, information, supply, competition”, Professor, PhD, Head of the Logistics Department of the Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics (Moscow). Lectures were given for students of the 1st and 3rd academic years of the specialty “Logistics”.
Within lectures, following issues were discussed: global logistics system, the evaluation and selection criteria of vendor (with the 3rd academic year students) logistics concepts, Kanban system as a system of material flow management in the enterprise, MRP system as a system of material flow management in the enterprise – with the 3rd academic year ones.
During lectures Vladimir Stepanov was not only as a competent lecturer, quality specialist, but also as a good psychologist who could capture the attention of the audience, sensitive and attentive to students problems teacher, a person with a great life experience including professional one.
