This year Polotsk celebrated its 1153rd birthday. The solemn parade of working staff representatives of organizations, factories and establishments of our town opened the chain of festive events. Traditionally Polotsk State University also took part in it.
The students and lecturers of the faculties of Information Technologies and History and Philology proudly went along the main street of our town.
The participants of the parade performed the hymn of Polotsk together with students of PSU, inhabitants and guests at the square.
Polotsk State University was also represented in the tourist section. All guests had a chance to get acquainted with the excursion service on the territory of Polotsk Collegium.
The sector of cultural and leisure time activity works out projects and ideas connected with the excursion service and also organizes animation programmes. This year Polotsk State University was awarded to laureate title of the competition among entities of tourist activity in Polotsk in the nomination “Best animation excursion (tourist) product”.
