On December 21, 2020 Mart Reimann, Professor of Tallin University, Member of Rural Tourism Development Council in Estonia, gave a public lecture to students who study Tourism and Hospitality.
Mart Reimann shared his experience and talked about perspectives on rural tourism development in the Baltic Republic which is annually visited by about 2.5 million foreign tourists. He has his own travel agency and family farm near Tallinn. He has extensive experience in attracting residents of European cities to the natural and rural interests of Estonia, which he willingly shared with students and teachers of Polotsk State University.
It was not the first time Mart Reimann came to Belarus. He visited about two hundred farm stays in different regions of Belarus and gave some useful tips on supporting and activating entrepreneurship. It was especially noted that Belarus has incredible prospects for developing tourism business, facilitated by unique nature, original culture and people’s hospitality. Everyone present felt free to ask M. Reimann questions.
At the end of the event, M. Reimann and the Head of the Department of History and Tourism expressed the mutual desire to continue cooperation in the future.
