'Rector’s entrance' for Students from Turkmenistan

The introduction to the university began with a tour of the Polotsk Collegium. The first guides to history were the sculptures of a Polotsk student and a professor of the Polotsk Academy.

Yury Ramanouski, Rector of Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk: “Dear students! Today, in accordance with longstanding tradition, you have become participants in an event that I am sure will remain in your memory and serve as a guiding star on your path to successful studies at our university. This tradition has been upheld for centuries, and you are now a part of it. By officially recording your status as students of Polotsk State University, you have demonstrated your commitment to learning and your dedication to acquiring knowledge, skills, and competencies”.

As part of the ceremony, students signed the honorary book "Polatski dzyarzhauny universitet" which is located in the exhibition hall and features the restoration of Gabriel Gruber's "Mechanical Head" project. The Wise Elder also gave them words of encouragement.

After ascending the Catherine Stairs to the exhibition "The History of the Polotsk Collegium through Events and Personalities," students visited the library's reading room and the inner courtyard, which had numerous noteworthy features. An 18th-century well drew visitors, while a memorial monument and reproductions of magnificent paintings told the story of the university's rich history. A musical clock with an academic procession marked the end of the trip.
