On April 20, 2011 the German lecturers of the service of students exchange (DAAD) visited Polotsk State University. They carried out several seminars devoted to the German language, culture, history, and country studying.
The DAAD lecturers visit our University not for the first time. Normally they come here once or twice a semester. According to the lecturers’ words, the first adjective that can be used to describe Polotsk State University is ‘European’.
The seminars started at 11.00. The students were divided into three groups, according to their interests, and every group had its lecturer.
During the day all the participants were involved into an interesting work. Some students attended the seminar on German Literature of Romanticism, others – on teaching methodologies, or modern German slang. In any case our students got acquainted with new techniques, methods and approaches.
