On November, 25 the candidate of economic science Tatsiana A. Chernyak and Viktor V. Kurlov the candidate of technical science, associate professor of the Department «Information technologies and mathematics» of Saint-Petersburg Academic University of Management and Economics visited Polotsk State University according to the signed Cooperation Agreement in the sphere of education and science, development of new complex directions of scientific research.
The beginning of cooperation between Polotsk State University and Saint-Petersburg Academic University of Management and Economics was started in November.
During the previous visit main priority directions of further cooperation with Russian colleagues were planned. One of them is the collaboration between teachers and students of two universities in the sphere of information technologies.
The colleagues from Saint-Petersburg Academic University of Management and Economics took part in several events. Viktor V. Kurilovich held a master-class for the students of the faculty of Information technologies.
The productive meeting was also held between Russian colleagues and the head of the faculty of Information Technologies: Stepan G. Ekhilevsky, the dean of the faculty, doctor of technical science, professor of the department of Software Engineering; the head of the Department of Software Engineering, the candidate of physical and mathematic science, associate professor Oksana V. Golubeva and the head of the Department of Computing Systems and Networks, the candidate of technical science, associate professor Rikhard P. Bogush.
As the result the following steps of the further cooperation were planned:
- Student exchange;
- The participation of students, postgraduates and teaching staff of Saint-Petersburg Academic University of Management and Economics in the 8th Conference «European and National Dimension in Research»;
- Two-sided lectures for students with the participation of teaching staff of the faculty of Information technologies of Polotsk State University and Institute of Economics, Management and Information technologies of Saint-Petersburg Academic University of Management and Economics;
- Online-seminar aimed at the organization and methodical ensuring of distant learning for teaching staff of the faculty of Information technologies of Polotsk State University and Institute of Economics, Management and Information technologies of Saint-Petersburg Academic University of Management and Economics;
Polotsk State University is an inheritor of rich cultural and educational traditions that guests have seen during the excursion around Polotsk College. The delegation from Russian Federation also was admired by the lunch-concert which took place that day in Novopolotsk.
