On October 4, 2017 within the project «German weeks at PSU» and International music day the opening of the 8th season of the musical project «Lunch-concert» developed by our university and Novopolotsk state musical college was held.
Lunch-concerts have become an inevitable part of the university atmosphere and a distinctive feature of Polotsk State University. Every week this project gathers students, teachers, university staff and guests of PSU to enjoy a wonderful music world.
The program was opened by a musical head of the project, also head of musicology department at Novopolotsk state musical college Elena Vasilieva: «Today we present a special lunch-concert devoted to German weeks of the great and wonderful musical culture of Germany. I’m glad to greet all the listeners in this concert».
The honoured guests of the event were the representatives of the German Embassy in the Republic of Belarus and staff of the Goethe Institute in Minsk.
The program «Live music of the German composers» was devoted to the 8th season opening and took best works of the famous German composers (such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Felix Mendelssohn), but also bright music colours – Belarusian folk songs.
The debut lunch-concert of the 8th season has become a true decoration of the German weeks at Polotsk State University!
