The end of February and the beginning of March have a special meaning for Belarusian geodesists. At such days everyday work stops and the celebration time starts. In our country the day of cartographic and geodesic service is celebrated on February, 21.
The day of Geodesy faculty at PSU is traditionally devoted to those dates. This year the celebration events took place on March, 12.
The attractive and witty presenters Olya and Katya invited on stage the Dean of the faculty Igor Shevelev.
In the opening speech Igor Shevelev congratulated all the lectures and students on the Faculty’s Birthday. Then the concert started!
The first performer was a student, Elena Marat, who sang a love song.
After such a lyrical performance the audience was cheered up by students of the Faculty of Geodesy.
Then the audience had a chance to visit one of the hostels. The video about student life made lectures remember their happy student days.
After that, the student Diana Bogdanovich sang one of the popular hits.
The performance of Artem Zinovenko returned the cheerful atmosphere to the audience.
The concert was continued in the atmosphere of a medieval carnival. The power was given to «always depressed» students, who invited six brave lectures on the stage. Then the funny quiz began. As a result, friendship won, and all the participants were treated by Chupa-Chups.
The next performer was Nikolay Kamenkov, accompanied by «TORYDANCE» studio, who introduced a cover-version of the hit «Supremacy» Muse.
The student Anna Poddubskaya demonstrated the real dance art.
Diana Daletskaya’s song sounded like the anthem of friendship and love that the Faculty of Geodesy really appreciates.
The final part of the concert was devoted to the traditional ceremony of «Dedication of students», where first-years students and the senior teacher of Department of Applied Geodesy and Photogrammetry Sergey Tovbas participated.
The concert ended up with a cheerful and funny song of geodesists, which was performed by Stanislav Nesterovich, a student of the faculty of Geodesy.
